The Conquistando Escalones Association, awarded in the ’20 de Febrer ‘Awards of the city of Vila-real

As we have been informed today, in the Conquistando Escalones Association we have been awarded in the ’20 Febrer ‘Awards that are given annually on the occasion of the Foundational Festivities of the City of Vila-real. The communication has been received by the president of Conquistando Escalones and Vila-realense Abrahán Guirao, with surprise as well as an honor, being one of the greatest awards granted by the city.

As he said at first hand, “it will continue to be a pleasure to continue our struggle with the warmth of a city as supportive, as well as to carry his name wherever he goes.” When we go out in the history books for having achieved the cure for millions, the Vila-real city will have a prominent name.

And as I have said, I hope to return Vila-real and all the people who help us, what they do for us. The awards will be presented on February 17 in the Auditorium at a time to be defined. It will be a pleasure to be with all those who want to join us.

As explained in the note published by the City Council of Vila-real, in this edition, the 20 Febrer Awards want to highlight the trajectory of personalities and entities that collaborate actively in the social and cultural life of the municipality. With this objective, the 2019 awards will recognize, apart from the Conquistando Escalones Association, Juan Bautista Llorens Bort, painter and draftsman of Vila-real who stands out for the representation of his hometown in his canvases; Conchita Catalán, member of the Congregation of Daughters of Mary Immaculate and alma mater of the entity, dedicated to esteem for the Purisima and involved in all the activities she promotes; and Leandre Adsuara, carrier of the Virgin of Grace and a person closely linked to local traditions and local popular culture.

The 20 Febrer Awards are granted by the municipal corporation in recognition of the trajectory of relevant entities and people of the associative, cultural and social fabric of the city. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday February 17 at the Music Auditorium Rafael Beltrán Moner, after the tribute to the figure of King Jaume I in the framework of the commemorative events of the founding of the city.
