Conquistando Escalones gives voice to the rare diseases in the institutional act of FEDER in Murcia
The FEDER Delegation in Murcia celebrates this Tuesday, February 28, its Institutional Act for the World Day of Rare Diseases in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz.This act, framed within the campaign of visibility and sensitization, aims to transfer to society the reality of these pathologies and the necessary research that is in them. Rare diseases affect more than 80,000 people in the Community of Murcia and more than three million in Spain.
One of these rare diseases, with also high presence of affected in the Community of Murcia, is our Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F. Conquistando Escalones will be one of the associations that will have the opportunity to participate in this act and give voice to those affected, besides of spreading the message that thanks to a genetic mutation that makes us immune to HIV millions of people can be saved.
The event will be attended by Juan Carrión, President of FEDER, David Sánchez Delegate of FEDER in Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, President of the Community, Encarna Guillén, Minister of Health, and Violante Tomás, Councilor for Family and Equality Of Opportunities in the region.
