Nearly 800 young people from Vila-real march for Conquistando Escalones thanks to La Panderola

The Conquistando Escalones Association has been the beneficiary of the 1st Marxa solidària organised by the CEE La Panderola of Vila-real on the occasion of the International Day of Functional Diversity (3rd December). Nearly 800 young people from practically all the educational centres in Vila-real have joined this cause which has led them to walk 1.3 kilometres between the Llaurador square and the Joan Baptista Llorens pavilion. At the end, a prize draw was held, including a mug and a book from ‘The tournament of a lifetime’, and there was also a zumba session inside the sports facility with hundreds of participants.
This initiative has managed to raise 448.60 euros, and students were invited to make a voluntary donation to support our cause, which will be used to promote 1,794 minutes of medical research to find a cure or treatment for Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2.
The president of the Association, Abrahán Guirao, has stated that “we are very grateful, and especially more so on the part of those who come, because they are people who demonstrate and work with sensitivity to functional diversity.” From Conquistando Escalones we want to thank the educational community of La Panderola for the effort made to organize this event as well as having thought of us as a beneficiary entity. And we extend our thanks to the rest of the schools in the city that have not hesitated to join this solidarity march.
