Conquistando Escalones and the University of Valencia Renew Their Agreement for 19,000 euros

At Conquistando Escalones, we have renewed our agreement with the Translational Genomics Laboratory at the University of Valencia, led by Rubén Artero, ensuring the continuation of research into treatments for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2 (LGMDD2) throughout 2025. From the total €19,000 allocated to the project, €10,000 has already been transferred, covering research from January to August 31 of this year.
Research is progressing steadily, as highlighted in our 8th International Congress, where various teams shared their latest findings. Additionally, in September 2024, an in-person meeting took place at the University of Valencia (Spian), bringing together teams led by José Alcamí (Instituto de Salud Carlos III), Rubén Artero (University of Valencia), and Professor Juan José Vílchez (CIBERER researcher).
As an association, we not only provide laboratories with essential samples (blood, biopsies, etc.), but we also channel funds to research teams, coordinate ongoing studies, and maintain direct communication with the laboratories working on our condition. This allows us to supervise investments, track progress, and ensure continuous collaboration between researchers.
At the same time, we are constantly working to secure new funding so that these crucial investigations do not stop.
