The theater weekend in Vila Joiosa raises more than 3,000 euros for Conquistando Escalones

On the last weekend of June, on the 25th and 26th, Vila Joiosa was filled with solidarity theater thanks to Arteatro La Vila, a drama school in the town of Alicante that has been collaborating for years with Conquistando Escalones and this time managed to raise 3,263 euros that will go entirely to the medical research that we promote from the Association to find a cure for LGMD 1F-D2 Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy and HIV.

The performances of the children, youth and adult groups of Arteatro La Vila served to put the finishing touch to the academic year with a great reception from the public. The youngest offered the play Edelmira y el Dragón, a very entertaining performance with comic gags, sound effects… in which witches, dragons and wizards did their thing; young people came on stage with Generación Z, a play that showed the situations that adolescents face in their daily lives, and the proposal of the older ones was Bésame mucho, a complete sexual revolution with choreography included after two years without “being able to be affectionate” by covid-19.
