Conquistando Escalones and Casda, in the solidarity campaign of Rototom 2022

The Rototom Sunsplash, which will be held from August 16 to 22 in Benicàssim, has chosen the entities Conquistando Escalones and Casda (Citizen Association against AIDS of Castelló), with their joint action “HIV also saves lives” through the platform migranodearena.org, to be the beneficiaries of the solidarity campaign to collect reusable cups that those attending the reggae festival will be able to buy at the event’s bars for one euro and deposit, once they have been used, in the special containers that They will be distributed throughout the different areas of the enclosure. Once the Rototom Sunsplash is over, all the cups will be counted to turn that amount into a donation for the cause of Conquistando Escalones, medical research on Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2 and HIV, since those affected by the first They are immune to the AIDS virus.

We are looking for volunteers

Thus, both Conquistando Escalones and Casda are calling for volunteers to collaborate with this initiative during the days of the festival. Those who want to participate and work to get the most funds for Conquistando Escalones will receive tickets to the event, food tickets and, if they need it, space in the campsite to spend the night.

From Conquistando Escalones we will offer prior training to explain in detail the functions, schedules and other details to optimize our presence at the festival as well as answer any questions that may arise.

A committed festival

This action is part of Rototom Sunsplash’s commitment to being a plastic free festival. Thus, water bottles are dispensed with, but the installation of fountains and water recharge booths is promoted with the collaboration and participation in this logistics of the company Tuawa+Global Omium and Ecozona Iberian. In addition, Rototom has announced that it will be the first festival in Spain to obtain a CO2 emissions certificate that verifies and makes its carbon footprint tangible in order to mitigate and reverse the impact on the environment.
