Conquistando Escalones participates in Italy in a conference on neuromuscular research

Corrado Angelini, Professor of Neurology at the University of Padova; Professor Gabriele Siciliano, director of the Department of Neurology at the University of Pisa and Dr. Giulia Ricci, from the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pisa together with Jessica Furlan, from Conquistando Escalones.

The Conquistando Escalones Association (ACE) in Italy has participated in the V Clinical Neuromuscular Research Conference organized by the Telethon Foundation, the Italian Association of Myology (AIM) and the Association for the Study of the Peripheral Nervous System in which, among other matters, innovative therapies applied to neuromuscular diseases have been addressed. “Keeping us informed is a priority for us so that we can help, in the best possible way, all the people who come to us asking for support and information,” says Jessica Furlan, head of ACE Italy.

Held in Riva del Garda, the congress consisted of two different parts: a purely scientific one on neuromuscular diseases and another of an informative nature for associations about general information on rare diseases.

Among the attendees was the researcher and neurologist Corrado Angelini, closely linked to our association for the work he does and, also, an honorary member of Conquistando Escalones. However, many other renowned neurologists have also participated both in Italy and at the European level. From the entity we have had the opportunity to intervene in one of the debates, which has allowed different professionals to take an interest in our work.
