Conquistando Escalones present at the “Day of the International Day of Rare Diseases”

The Conquistando Escalones Association will be present at the “International Day of Rare Diseases”. organized by the Fisabio Foundation and the General Directorate of Public Health for Monday, February 26. Specifically, the president of the Association, Abrahán Guirao, will participate at 12:00 p.m. in the patient, clinical, diagnosis and treatment dialogue table moderated by Dr. José M. Millán of the La Fe Health Research Institute (ISS) Guirao’s intervention will revolve around patient associations in the process of finding a treatment and, during it, he will give insights into the current state of the lines of research that are supported by Conquistando Escalones and that are carried out in different areas. centers such as the University of Valencia or the IIS Carlos III in Madrid. Guirao has expressed his gratitude for the invitation to be a speaker at these conferences that are so “necessary to give visibility to our disease and our work.”

The president will also be accompanied at this table by Carmen Aguado, coordinator of the Network Biomedical Research Center for Rare Diseases (CIBERER) Biobank and Sara Calzado, Psychology clinic at the University of Valencia.

This dialogue table will be the last intervention before the official closing by the general director of Public Health, Ruth Usó, and the managing director of the Fisabio Foundation, Mónica Pont. The conference will begin at 9:45 am and two more dialogue tables will be held: the research/innovation and surveillance table and the oral communications of young researchers.
