The theatre in Vila Joiosa raises more than 4,000 euros for medical research

On the last weekend of June, on the 29th and 30th, Vila Joiosa was filled with charity theatre thanks to Arteatro La Vila, a dramatic arts school in the Alicante town that has been collaborating with Conquistando Escalones for years and that this time managed to raise 4,490 euros that will be used for medical research that we promote from the Association to find a cure for Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy LGMD 1F/D2 and HIV.

The performances of the children’s groups (La Muñeca de la caja de música), youth (Los Figurantes) and adults (Presas) of Arteatro La Vila were the final touch to the academic year with a great reception by the public. In fact, the vice president of Conquistando Escalones, Antonio Fernández, points out that the different performances managed to gather more than 1,400 spectators. “It was a huge success, we had a full house for the adult group performance, for which even more tickets would have been needed,” says Fernández. The three plays were directed by Ana Maestre and the vice president of Conquistando Escalones assures that all of them delighted the public: “It was a very fun and entertaining weekend.”
