Our research team in Valencia is looking for a PhD student

Buscamos Doctorando para el Grupo de Genómica Traslacional Humana en Valencia

The team at the Translational Genomics Laboratory of the University of Valencia, led by Dr. Rubén Artero, is looking for a person to join the group studying our disease; Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2 (LGMDD2).

The incorporation of this new person, who must meet the profile of a PhD student, is given by the granting of a scholarship within the Santiago Grisolia program of the Generalitat Valenciana. For this reason, it is also an essential requirement for the candidate to have obtained the degree outside the European Union after January 2019.

It should be remembered that, as we point out in this news, the team at the University of Valencia carries out three major lines of research in the laboratory: the study of the murine (mouse) model of LGMDD2; the study of pathogenesis mechanisms (how the disease originates and develops) and the development of therapies for LGMDD2.

Thus, when this new person joins the laboratory, the LGMDD2 research team at the University of Valencia will be made up of Dr. Javier Poyatos, who has been working on our research for several years and is now funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, and the predoctoral Alicia Novella Estellés, who we pay from Conquistando Escalones as well as assuming some of the laboratory costs.

Those interested in applying for this position must send their CV, academic record and motivation letter to ruben.artero@uv.es before the end of July.
