Celebration of the 6th International Congress of LGMD1F/D2

This Wednesday, November 9, the 6th international congress on our disease took place. Like every year, there is a meeting between all the doctors involved in the investigation of Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2.

Although work is being done to resume a future face-to-face meeting, the ‘Covid-19’ helped us speed up the sharing of advances in research on a quarterly online basis (in addition to researchers being in constant contact with each other) in addition to this annual meeting in a broader day.

And it is that, each year, the annual congress serves to share all this in a more extended way, taking stock from the start of the investigations to the present moment and analyzing more deeply if possible all the tasks and objectives of next year. To highlight the exciting planning of the following checks of drugs that already work in the laboratory before clinical trials, as well as always knowing new techniques that could be useful to us thanks to the fact that science does not stop advancing. And as always, a clear path in which we work hand in hand with all the research centers to save time and resources.

We thank everyone for their participation, involvement and work. As usual, in the coming weeks and months we will continue transferring all the details of these advances, as well as the agreements and payments that are made for it and also continue transferring in the form of images everything that is done within the laboratories.

Time is a handicap in a disease that, in addition to being rare and muscular, is degenerative. But we are getting closer to a goal that a few years ago we could not even dream of and that the relatives who are no longer with us would not have imagined. Thanks to all of you who help us to achieve it.
