The Les Alqueries school talks about «El torneo de su vida»

The president of the Association, Abrahán Guirao, has virtually visited the Pintor Sorolla school in Les Alqueries (Castelló). On this occasion, he has held a meeting with the students of 5th grade of the center, after they have read and have done work on “El torneo de la vida de él” in its version in Valencian. Undoubtedly, a pleasant talk in which, in addition to knowing their impressions of the book, we learn from the youngest. His curiosity, his interests and his self-confidence when it comes to asking questions without taboos is always a push to continue with our work to make rare diseases visible and, specifically, Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2, and to spread disability without heroics no paternalism.

Among the questions, the students showed special interest in what it means to live in wheelchairs and what day-to-day life is like. For his part, the president placed special emphasis on the process of a degenerative disease such as Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2, and that the wheelchair phase “is not the end” and that it even has parts “positive” such as avoiding falls at a time when walking costs more and also helps to get out of the house. Once again, many thanks to the center and to the 5th grade tutors for allowing us to share these moments.

And if you still don’t have the entertaining adventures of «El torneo de su vida» , what are you waiting for to have it? 😉 Remember that the profits from your sales support medical research seeking treatment and cure for Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2 and HIV.
