The BeeЯRock Fest vol. VIII raises more than 5,000 euros for research

On May 17, as part of the festivities in honor of Sant Pasqual de Vila-real, the BeeЯRock Vol. VIII festival was held. An event that is already a regular part of the city’s festivities and has a charitable nature, since all the profits obtained go to medical research into 1F/D2 Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy and HIV. We are pleased to announce that more than 5,200 euros were raised for this purpose, thanks in particular to the Vila-real City Council, which, through the Department of Festivities, has collaborated with the costs of the festival as well as the financial contribution of the sponsors and, of course, the drinks at the bar and the donations of the attendees.

This edition featured performances by Dry River and Killus, with their 25th anniversary tour, as headliners, joined by concerts by Annacrusa and La Malavida, with a very good response from the people, since from the first hours of the festival there was a large audience enjoying quality music and a good atmosphere. “We are happy that BeeЯRock has been a success again because, despite being a small team, we have been able to carry out an event that is already a reference for many people,” says the president of the Conquistando Escalones Association, Abrahán Guirao.

Guirao says he is looking forward to BeeЯRock Vol. IX. “Despite the fact that there are difficult moments, the words of the people during and after the festival, seeing how much the attendees enjoyed it and that people from other municipalities came encourages us and gives us strength for the next edition,” says the president of the entity. In addition, Guirao positively values ​​the new features introduced this year: the food truck area, which ensured that there was no sharp drop in attendees at dinner time, and the introduction of reusable cups that prevented the festival site from becoming a layer of plastic containers.

From Conquistando Escalones we also want to give a well-deserved recognition to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it possible, as well as to all the technical staff, both from municipal services and external companies.
